I feel proud and happy to welome you to Agriculture and Food Management Institute (AFMI), Mysore, which was established in 2008 with an aim to built on its unique strength of imparting high quality management education through pedagogic innovations, encouraging business-academia interface and emphasizing on its twin objective of Influencing Practice and Promoting Value based growth.

AFMI has acquired the reputation of meeting societal needs of under-managed sectors by offering its unique, purposeful, relevant and flagship program – “Postgraduate Diploma in Management- Agri and Food Business” an AICTE approved two years fulltime programme. It displays a differentiated approach across the entire academic flow of activities in higher management education.

“Excellence and Integrity” is the motto of AFMI derived from the principle of “Magis” – ever greater, ever better, excellence. We try to translate excellence through academic excellence, value excellence and social excellence. This means we are not only concentrating on knowledge development, but also on personal, spiritual and social development. This is the integral formation we offer to students. This integral and value based formation should impel a person to be an innovative, competent and creative leader. We are known for our academic excellence. We try to instill values through courses, activities, events and the environment we create. Shortly launching outbound programme is one such initiative. We inculcate social values and social awareness through social activities and village exposure programmes.
